Here is a very VERY personal video message that I recorder while visiting my Father’s gravestone this December on his birthday.

I recorded this video after writing a letter to him of things I never got to say to him before he passed. While writing this, I was struck with a sudden sense of understanding about my own life, what I want to get out of it, and how precious ever second of every day is.

I’m sharing this with you today because I feel it may offer you some encouragement, strength, and inspiration if you have been in similar life situations.

If you haven’t yet, read the post I had written about this previously to give you a little more insight into why Death Inspires me to Travel.

Video Message From The Dead: Start Living Today.

That’s all so true. You should definitely make the most of life, even if you’re not traveling. Just sharing life with the people around you and making the most of every day. You reminded me of the movie Up! I cried a lot watching that. Sometimes life gets in the way of what we perceive is really “living”, but it can (and should) still be an adventure.

    And your hair is awesome.

Ha, thanks for the compliment Joshua. You are right, and I’m glad you could relate to the video. Always live for the adventure!

WORD. That’s exactly what I said after doing the exact routine you described for four years. I bought my one-way ticket and explained it that way – life’s not for working away for someone else, it’s for doing what YOU want for YOURSELF. Be selfish – live.

Love it Kristin, you and me are definitely on the same brain wave with this topic. So awesome you had the courage to get up and go and stop wasting precious time. Live gnarly darling!

Every word of this is so true and I can relate to what you’re saying. We only have one life and it can be an amazing one if we let it!
My nephew passed away a few years ago at 19 years of age and that’s when it dawned on me just how short life can be. Just thinking about all of the things he talked about doing, but never got to do, pushed me to get out there and start doing what I want to do while I can.
Very inspirational video, thanks for sharing it!

Lillian, that is such a shame to here about your cousin losing their life at such a young age. I’m glad that person in your life can still inspire you today, like my mother and father inspire me still. If you really think about the things most people do every day, it’s just a waste of time some people never et to have. So happy you are living the life you want =)

Very Moving and Inspiring Video, Ryan.

Just start living it and make the most of life. that’s the key. There will always be ups and downs but how you express and make do with them, that’s the way to go.

I know it’s late but Happy Birthday to your dad.
